Last year all I wanted for Mother’s Day was peace and quiet. This year I want the same thing, only I want it from the comfort of my She Shed. What’s a She Shed? It’s moms answer to the a man cave and the greatest thing ever created since wine. It is a shed usually used for unused power tools and outgrown bikes that is transformed into an oasis that is just for mom.
When I first heard about these the other day I immediately knew that I needed one in my backyard, despite the fact that not a lot of Brooklyn backyards could accommodate one, mine included. I assure you I will try and find a way to get one. Even if I have to pitch a tent and call it a She Tent.
She Sheds are the answer to the prayers of many moms. A place to go that’s close to home yet afar enough away to hear yourself think. I don’t know about having those doors wide open though, I would be in there with the locks bolted up tight.
